Slope
Portable ramps are the fastest and most functional solution to overcome steps, sidewalks and unevenness. The variety of models on the market allows you to range and evaluate at best
any eventuality. The terms SLOPE and LENGTH are mainly associated with the concept of Ramp. The greater the Length, the less the Slope to be faced and the less the load to be supported, both in case of user autonomy and in the event of an assistant. We leave below a very short formula for calculating the slope, also useful for identifying the most suitable ramp length based on the available spaces.
Ramp slope% = (difference in height to overcome / length) x 100
