Batteries for lifter

Lift batteries are divided into two main categories: GEL BATTERIES and NIKEL – METAL HYDRIDE (Ni-Mh) BATTERY

The main differences between the two models are:

• The Weight: The lead-acid battery is much heavier than the NIMH
• Performance: the NIMH battery has a better performance and can withstand even deep discharge cycles. However, it loses its energy storage capacity if it remains unused for a prolonged period of time.
• GEL batteries are internally composed of gelatinized acid with lead-calcium plates. It is easily damaged in case of continuous deep discharge cycles.
