Description

N 902 Sherpa KSP tracked stairlift

The N 902 Sherpa KSP tracked stairlift is a new generation stairlift ready to accept any challenge in terms of reliability, safety and ease of operation. Special technical precautions such as manual release in the event of any type of mechanical or electronic failure allow you to complete the descent or ascent of the locked stairlift on a ladder with the patient on board; the visible fuse allows a technical assistance intervention to be solved in a few moments which otherwise would involve the disassembly of the entire cover casing; finally, the new system for moving the maneuvering wheels makes moving the tracked stairlift for the disabled on the landing very fast.

Traction
Renewed design of 42-tooth tracks and innovative tensioning system. The increased number of gripping teeth, the renewed design, the innovative track tensioning system have allowed a considerable reduction in noise and vibrations while driving, friction and an increase in grip. As a result, the N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift has extraordinary ride comfort and greater autonomy.

Transmission
Monobloc irreversible gearmotor with double conversion and high efficiency. Reduction ratio 96: 1. The transmission parts of the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift are reduced to a minimum thanks to the transmission by means of a monobloc gear motor, to the advantage of the reliability and maintainability of the vehicle. The irreversibility of the gearmotor construction guarantees automatic locking of the vehicle even in case of breakdowns. Particular importance is given to the torque on the slow shaft of the gearmotor, a torque which can reach particularly considerable values in conditions of starting from standstill, on maximum slope and with maximum load. The sizing of the system therefore plays a key role in guaranteeing its reliability and longevity. In this regard, the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift adopts a slow shaft of 20 mm. in diameter and an electronic control unit for traction torque control.

Motor
DC Brushed 24V motor, Pmax 265W, Nominal speed 1.660 rpm, protection class IP44. The 24V power supply has made it possible to reach important goals in terms of performance, giving the vehicle a greater autonomy than the competition. The motor of the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift has a closed brush cap for easy replacement.

Battery
Nr. 2 Lead Acid 12V 12A batteries connected in series. The batteries of the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift are of the Lead Acid type without maintenance. The choice of using a 24V machine voltage allowed a reduction in the size and weight of the batteries themselves thanks to the greater overall efficiency of the system. The positioning of the batteries has been optimized to achieve excellent weight distribution.

Control Unit
Electronic control unit with microprocessor for traction control, display of residual autonomy, control of the electrical movement of the maneuvering wheels and safety devices. The use of an electronic control unit for traction control allows smooth starts and stops, improves the efficiency of the vehicle and increases its reliability thanks to the reduction of stress on the mechanical parts. The absence of jerks, sudden starts and stops also guarantees unparalleled travel comfort of the N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift. The state of charge of the battery is continuously estimated and displayed by means of special leds arranged on the ignition panel. The control unit of the N 902 Sherpa KSP track stairlift also manages the motor used to move the maneuvering wheels and all the safety devices, among which it is worth remembering:

-Rudder coupling safety (if the rudder is not perfectly coupled the controls are excluded)
- Safety in maneuvering mode (when the maneuvering wheels are lowered, the drive is not allowed).

Charger
5-stage microprocessor battery charger. The integrated battery charger of the N 902 Sherpa KSP tracked stairlift allows the vehicle to be recharged in any place where a mains socket is available. The unit in question has been selected to maximize the battery life and the autonomy of the vehicle, the charge is in fact carried out in 5 stages:

-stage 1) Fast charge with constant current
-stage 2) Absorption charge at constant voltage
-stage 3) Equalization charge at constant voltage;
-stage 4) Charge control
-stage 5) Buffer or maintenance charge

Thanks to the simple fixing and connectorization, the battery charger can be easily disassembled for maintenance.

Helm
The N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift has a chromed lattice structure with electro-welded steel tubes. Particular attention has been paid to the hooking / unhooking system of the rudder to the frame, implementing an effective solution that requires minimum effort from the operator and does not allow errors, thanks to the double mechanical / electronic safety system. The rudder coupling system of the N 902 Sherpa KSP tracked stairlift is retractable so as to guarantee total protection against accidental access even with the rudder extracted. The adjustment system of the wheelchair anchoring points on the handlebar has been studied with particular care. Adjustment is easy thanks to the single locking pin that allows adjustment with one hand and with minimal effort. To complete it all, there are the ergonomic knobs, the controls arranged rationally, easy to access and protected against accidental activation.

Chassis
Electro-welded steel frame. The N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift adopts an electro-welded steel frame which gives it the necessary rigidity and strength. All in a compact and elegant execution which, thanks to the high degree of engineering, has made it possible to achieve high goals in terms of lightness, clean design and rationalization of the assembly. The maintenance and adjustment of the individual components is simple and easy as the right access routes and the correct spaces have been provided to operate with commonly used tools and keys.

Cover
Shockproof printed polystyrene cover.

Hi, the stairlift in basic configuration is used with the folding wheelchair with large rear wheels (self-propelled)

For wheelchairs with small 30 cm wheels this accessory is required:

N9013 Pair of FOOTRESTS for WHEELCHAIR WITH WHEELS Ø 30 and SWINGING

the car looks OK. soon to add more. photocopied documentation consisting of an update manual. considering the cost we could have expected more.
