Batteries for lift

Lift batteries are divided into two main categories: GEL BATTERIES and NICKEL-METAL HYDRIDE (Ni-Mh) BATTERIES

The main differences between the two models are:

• Weight: Lead acid battery is much heavier than NIMH
• Performance: NIMH battery has a better performance and can withstand deep discharge cycles. However, it loses energy storage capacity if it remains unused for a long time.
• GEL Batteries are internally composed of gelatinized acid with lead-calcium plates. They are easily damaged in the event of continuous deep discharge cycles.
